In 2020, First Service Residential, a previous AHCA Management Company, published a case study on the Anthem Highlands Community Association.
In the several years prior to First Service Residential being engaged, AHCA was struggling with a number of community issues, resident disputes, board dysfunction and strained vendor relationships.
“While it can be easy to point fingers when these kinds of issues occur, most can be traced back to a lack of understanding of the board’s roles and responsibilities,” ... “Unfortunately, by misunderstanding their position in the community, volunteer board members were overstepping their roles and often creating liability for the association.”
